I met with Captain Farrell and his money he was counting

I first produced my pistol and then I produced my rapier

There's whiskey in the jar
I counted out his money and it made a pretty penny
I put it in my pocket and I took it home to Jenny
(Jenny) I sighed and I swore that I'd be faithful to him ever
He knew I was a beauty but not that I was clever
(Jenny) I led him to our chamber, first for play and then for sleeping
He dreamt of gold and jewels, he'd spend on drink, and not be keeping
He slept - I drew his charges, and filled them up with water
And sent to Captain Farrell to be ready for the slaughter
'Twas early the next morning when I arose to travel
Up stepped a band of footmen and likewise Captain Farrell
I drew forth my pistol for I saw that they were many
But I couldn't shoot the water and a widow was my Jenny
(Jenny) And then came Captain Farrell to the room where I'd been staying
His shirt a-splashed with scarlet from the man that he'd been slaying
But I was gone with gold and jewels; for England I was sailing
In London will I live a Lady's life with wealth unfailing
(Jenny) And no more shall I see the fair Kilgarry Mountain
My cycle have I missed and now the months I am a-countin'
My child will know no father, and my greed it was the reason
And though I gulled two men, it was myself I was deceiving
You know the tune for this, surely?
